We are looking for a Junior Data/Financial Analyst to join our Data team and support our Product and Sales teams with insights gained from analyzing company data. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large financial datasets, identifying valuable information, and analyzing data with strong critical thinking and attention to detail.

About the Role

The Junior Data/Financial Analyst will join our dedicated Data team, cleaning, enriching, and analyzing large datasets to ensure the integrity of Calculum’s analysis projects. The Calculum Platform allows clients to compare, analyze, improve, and negotiate better payment terms, helping large organizations unlock millions in cash flow by analyzing their entire supply chain.

The Junior Data/Financial Analyst will be part of these meaningful data analytics projects, working closely with the Data team and collaborating across the organization. We are looking for someone with initial professional experience who is ready to take the next step in their career and can bring strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and a proactive approach to the role.

Education Desired

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, or a similar business-related field

Responsibilities

  • Understand the use case of each analysis in order to determine the best approach and solution
  • Extract usable data from relevant data sources
  • Carry out data quality checks to ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Enhance data collection procedures to include relevant information for analytical systems
  • Process, cleanse, and validate the integrity of data used for analysis
  • Analyze financial and company data to identify relevant insights and patterns
  • Present results in a clear and structured manner
  • Collaborate with Data and Product teams

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, or a similar business-related field
  • Preferred 1-2 years of relevant professional experience in data analysis, financial analysis, or a related analytical role
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on data analysis
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Good knowledge of Corporate Finance and understanding of Working Capital
  • Hands-on experience with data science or analytics tools is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
  • Critical thinker who is analytical, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
