Calculum joined BNP Paribas for its Working Capital Days series, a private event for leading treasurers held at the BNP Paribas CIB offices in Berlin and Frankfurt. Oliver Belin, Calculum CEO and co-founder, presented alongside Jens Noffke, Global Head of Customer Value & Strategy.

The session started from a simple observation. There are more than 200 million companies worldwide, and every one of them negotiates payment terms, yet no one has a clear view of what is acceptable in the market. Without that reference point, payment terms decisions are often based on internal assumptions rather than market evidence.

Oliver and Jens showed how payment terms intelligence closes that gap. A live demonstration of the Calculum platform showed how treasury and procurement teams can benchmark supplier payment terms against market data, see where opportunities exist, and quantify their working capital impact before entering supplier conversations.

The discussion with treasurers also covered how this intelligence connects to the broader financing ecosystem, including Supply Chain Finance programs, by clarifying where terms stand and where working capital can be unlocked first.

Thank you to Wolfgang Reiser and the entire BNP Paribas team in Berlin and Frankfurt for organizing these sessions and bringing the treasury community together.
