About the Role

Calculum is redefining financial supply chains by moving beyond analytics into autonomous execution. We are building ADA Agents - intelligent digital workers that can analyze, negotiate, and optimize payment strategies for the world’s largest enterprises.

We are looking for a Senior Agentic AI Engineer who operates at the cutting edge of AI innovation and has hands-on experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agentic workflows. In this role, you will architect and deploy autonomous financial agents that drive measurable working capital outcomes.

You will work closely with product, data, and engineering teams to design scalable AI systems that combine deep financial intelligence with secure enterprise integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Architect Autonomous Financial Agents: Design and implement multi-agent systems capable of complex reasoning, planning, and execution within financial constraints.
  • ‍Lead MCP Strategy: Build and maintain MCP Servers to expose Calculum’s liquidity and benchmark data to external ecosystems. Develop MCP Clients to securely integrate with customer ERPs.
  • Ensure "Human-in-the-Loop" Integrity: Architect security boundaries that allow agents to operate autonomously while enforcing strict approval gates for high-value financial transactions.‍
  • Full-Stack AI Integration: Develop robust APIs and lightweight frontend interfaces to allow users to observe and steer agent behavior.
  • ‍Productionalize LLM Workflows: Optimize prompt chains for cost and latency, implement semantic caching, and deploy observability tools to monitor agent performance in the wild.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in software engineering, with at least 2 years focused on LLM applications or 1 year on Agentic workflows.
  • Technical Mastery:
    • Deep proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
    • Hands-on experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP); you have built a server or client.
    • Experience with LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen for orchestration.
    • Solid understanding of vector stores, Knowledge Graphs and RAG architectures.
